Becoming a member

Shalom! We are delighted that you are considering joining our synagogue! Temple Beth Sholom is the only egalitarian Conservative synagogue located in beautiful Sarasota, Florida. We are a proud affiliate of the United Synagogue of Conservative Judaism, climbing towards 400 families.

We have created a warm, caring, vibrant and innovative community where individual and family lives are enriched through spiritual, educational, and intergenerational bonding. Our goal is to become your extended family and support you in all your life-cycle events and simchas. Temple Beth Sholom is our Jewish home that offers a place to worship, study, and lead Jewish lives together.

We provide a wide range of religious, educational, social and community activities for all ages. Many of our members are snowbirds or new residents to our community. At our services, our “Rabbi with the microphone” walks through the congregation to welcome new faces and to foster new connections.

In addition to full memberships, we have seasonal memberships as well, for those spending 1-6 months in Sarasota.

Please call our office and speak to Kelly at 941-955-8121 if you have questions, to receive a membership application, or to schedule an appointment to meet Rabbi Werbow as you consider becoming part of our TBS family.
