Traditional Services
Our Friday Night services welcome the Shabbat through a combination of holiness, spirit, prayers, singing and learning that last about an hour. The service begins at 7:45 p.m. and is followed by an Oneg Shabbat where congregants have the opportunity to socialize.
Shabbat morning services begin at 9:00 a.m., and may include participation by B’nai Mitzvah students, individuals with special simchas or guest lecturers. The service consists of three parts: Shaharit, the Torah Service and Musaf. The entire service typically lasts about two-and-a-half hours. Our talented team of clergy leads the congregation. Hazzan Diane Nathanson leads the service with her beautiful voice and style. Rabbi Joel Mishkin gives inspiring and relevant sermons. Following the service, everyone is invited to join the sit down Kiddush luncheon with the entire Temple Beth Sholom community. Baby-sitting is available.
