Family Minyan

Family Minyan meets once a month from 10:15 to 11:45 in the Desenberg-Band Chapel. This is a one and a half hour, child-and-parent-friendly Shabbat service. Family Minyan combines core elements of the traditional liturgy with joyful singing and interactive activities. The children celebrate Shabbat in a nurturing environment focusing on different prayers in order to build a solid foundation for B’nai mitzvah. There is a short and engaging Torah service, and we conclude with a small Kiddush in time to join the rest of the congregation for the Kiddush luncheon in the Social Hall.

Congregants’ children who attend the Goldie Feldman Academy or the Martin & Mildred Paver Religious School are required to attend the Family Minyan each month.  We invite you to join us for this vibrant service that provides opportunities for students of all ages to be the service leaders, and a place for your family to worship together on Shabbat.
