Men's Club

The Temple Beth Sholom Men’s Club is affiliated with the Federation of Jewish Men’s Clubs, a group of over 270 clubs with over 25,000 members in Conservative synagogues around the world.

Our organization provides quality and relevant programming to help develop and enhance our knowledge and understanding of Judaism, and provide needed service and help with fundraising for the synagogue. We offer a full calendar of events, ranging from breakfasts with thought-provoking speakers and social action events, to tzedakah for our congregation. We also co-sponsor some events with the Sisterhood, such as the Annual Passover Bar-B-Que and we maintain the Judaica Museum and the Holocaust Memorial Garden, which fronts the entryway to the Temple.

The current and future leaders of the synagogue are trained and groomed through Men’s Club programs and activities. The members of the Men’s Club participate in and contribute to the daily minyan and provide the Wednesday morning breakfast after the minyan. We are lay leaders in Minyan Ma’at, an alternative service during the late fall and winter. We are gabis, helpers, and ushers for shul services and advisors for how to put on Tefillin at the Hebrew School’s Tefillin Club.

Our Men's Club has an active outreach program. We interface, participate, and contribute to all areas and groups on the Temple Beth Sholom campus and have helped start programs encouraging intergenerational activities.
