Men's Club Dedication

Temple Beth Sholom Men's Club is a dedicated organization serving our Congregation. We are members of the Federation of Jewish Men's Clubs.

We maintain the Judaica Museum and the Holocaust Memorial Garden, which fronts the entryway to the Temple. The Men's Club works for and raises funds for many Temple projects that contributes to the betterment of Temple Beth Sholom. We welcome all male Temple Members to join us and help us fulfill our goal of service to the Temple. We have a Birthday Greeting card program and a Good & Welfare program, which provides visitation to people in hospitals, nursing homes.

Our programs are varied and consistent with Jewish life in our community. We serve, support, educate and bring to the Synagogue projects that help to maintain the high standards of Conservative Judaism. We offer a lot for a small organization and effectively manage varied and interesting programs that reflect the best interests of our congregation. Join us and be a part of "Jewish Commitment".

Did You Know?

Men's Club, in cooperation with the Temple Beth Sholom Library, provides a number of published materials, which promote Jewish observance and are available for members to use.

There are several interesting cassettes for your viewing. We have a full video called "The Ties That Bind" for individuals who want to learn how to enjoy the experience of Tefillin.

You can also discover other materials specially prepared for Jewish living. A visit to the library will be a worthwhile experience. We hope you will take the time to visit the library and see what we have to offer.

  Judaica Museum
Sponsored by the Men's Club

This museum, which is an important part of Temple Beth Sholom has made our Temple an interesting and beautiful place to visit. We have been privileged to see many unusual items of the Jewish Life Cycle. The exhibits have been extraordinary and thought provoking.

We have had exhibits for the holidays, such as, Passover, Channukah and the High Holidays. We have also had exhibitions for the Holocaust in which our own members told of their lives in that period of time.

All of these exhibits included items from our permanent collection as well as treasures lent to us by members of the Temple Beth Sholom Family.

We have had various programs and displays such as "The Jewish Life and Culture in Norway, The Wergeland's Story" and "The lost Wooden Synagugues of Eastern Europe".

Men's Club Holocaust Memorial Garden

With the formal dedication of a Men's Club Holocaust Memorial Garden in October 1993, the entrance to our building was enhanced.

Mayor Gene Pillot and other invited dignitaries attended as the celebration was extended to the community.
