Summer Experience

At Temple Beth Sholom Day School, kids of all ages can participate in a Summer Experience that is heavy on the fun but light on the stress. Our teaching staff consists of the same wonderful teachers that the children interact with during the school year.

The pre-school program is offered in three three-week sessions. The two-year old program offers a choice of 2-day, 3-day, or 5-day classes. All classes are small and limited in size. Each session has a camp-wide theme and campers discover it through age appropriate activities. The children experience a very busy, but relaxing day. Besides the fun art and cooking projects that will emphasize the themes, campers have art class in the Atelier (art studio), outside classroom and water play, Shabbat and a camp rally. Swim lessons at the YMCA next door are available for the three and four year olds and gymnastics classes are available for four year old campers.

The elementary age program offers one to six week sessions. The children have access to our state-of-the-art computer lab and a fabulous playground with a soccer field and running track. All elementary age campers participate in swimming, gymnastics and art!  Every Friday they celebrate Shabbat with a talent show and a visit to the Bari Brooks Center at the YMCA next door for a dance party. 

We offer programs for the following ages Transitional (Children 15 months old by May 1st) 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 noon Juniors (Children 2 years old by September 1st) 9:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. Tweens (Children 3 years old by September 1st) 9:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. Seniors (Children 4 years old by September 1st) 9:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m Elementary (Children entering kindergarten through fifth grade) 9:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
