The Goldie Feldman Academy was founded in 1992. It began as an expansion of the Justin Lee Wiesner Preschool at Temple Beth Sholom. It has continued to grow and flourish under the careful guidance of our administration, dedicated teachers, volunteer leadership, staff, and the demand for excellence from our parents. At GFA, we nurture the whole child as one who is capable of an infinite amount of possibilities. Our caring and qualified staff is committed to helping each student reach his/her full potential. The Goldie Feldman Academy at Temple Beth Sholom is the only private Jewish school in Sarasota and Manatee Counties.

At the Goldie Feldman Academy, students are challenged to think for themselves, develop a passion for discovery, become socially aware, and cultivate a "can-do" attitude that questions why, why not and how. Our faculty of innovative teachers places a great emphasis on teaching for meaning and understanding, creating a hands-on environment in which students become lifelong learners. Students thrive in a stable, integrated curricular environment that offers a low student-faculty ratio, small classes, academic rigor and hands-on experience. Our students consistently outperform their peers and perform above-grade-level academics in kindergarten through eighth grade. After eighth grade, our graduates are well placed in advanced academic programs including IB, AP and Honors.
